April graduated from Miriam College, Philippines, with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy in 2010.  She completed the Philippine Certified Public Accountants Licensure Examination in the same year and joined PwC Philippines as an Audit Associate.

In 2013, April immigrated to Canada and enrolled in the Certified General Accountants program, which she completed in 2015.  She also completed the three-year CPA In-Depth Tax course in 2019, and  continually works to stay current with changing tax legislation and policies.  April is also proficient in various accounting software applications, including QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, and Sage 50.

April has spent over eight years working with professionals, small business owners and not-for-profit organizations, supporting them in achieving their goals.  We welcomed April to the Weir and Company team effective January 2022 in the role of Accounting Manager.  April has a breadth of skills and professional experience that greatly benefits our clients and staff.
